Mullein, Plantain, & Marshmallow Root Syrup Recipe
This syrup combines the soothing and coating properties of the marshmallow root and mullein with the potential benefits of plantain for cough and infection support.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon dried mullein leaves
1 tablespoon dried marshmallow root
1 tablespoon dried plantain leaves
2 cups water
½ to 1 cup honey
Instructions:
- Combine all the herbs in a small saucepan with the water.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer, uncovered, for about 20–30 minutes.
- Strain the mixture very thoroughly through a fine strainer or cheesecloth into a clean cup.
- Allow the strained liquid to cool until it is warm, then stir in the honey until completely dissolved.
- Pour the finished syrup into a clean, glass jar or bottle.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to a few weeks.
Dosage: Take 1-2 tablespoons every 4-6 hours as needed.
Lung Tonic Tea Blend
